Just Us Girls #441 - Color Week

This is a fun color combination!

Besides the fact that my gray circle looks violet [good grief], I am loving this masculine card.  I used Hero Arts Brush Strokes [retired], and the Happy from Crafty Cutts.  My white embossed birthday is from  Motivet, also retired.  [Actually, the company is OOB.]

Your turn.  Come on over to the Just Us Girls #441 Challenge, and play along.  The gallery will look awesome by week's end.

CAS-ual Fridays May Release - Final Day

It is the final day of the CAS-ual Fridays May Release.

For my final 2 cards, we are focusing on the [very unique] Sands of Time 2 and Hourglass Fri-Die.

I just had to see how a shaker card would work with the Hourglass Fri-Die.  So fun!

For my 2nd card, I stamped the image on vellum using the "sand" image with white embossing powder.

CAS-ual Fridays May Release - Day 3

Day 3 on my blog today of the CAS-ual Fridays May Release.

We are featuring Peaceful Garden and Garden Fri-Dies.

For this first card, I embossed the back panel, and used a doily.  I stamped the images on the smaller panel, added a sentiment, and adhered it onto the card base.

For my 2nd card, I sponged a panel using Oxide Inks, and used the Garden Fri-Dies to cut out the images.  Lastly, I added the stamped sentiment. I love the color on the black stripes.

[All the new stamp sets and fri-dies will be available on the release day.]

CAS-ual Fridays May Release - Day 2

We are here today on my blog with Day 2 of the CAS-ual Fridays May Release.

Today, we are focusing on Best Day Ever and Fri-Die.

I love the font of this saying.  For this car, I used the Fri-Die, cut out 2 [one in blue and one in black], using the black as a shadow.

This 2nd card is a one layer, just using the stamp images.

[All the new stamp sets and fri-dies will be available on the release day.]

CAS-ual Fridays May Release - Day 1

It's time for the CAS-ual Fridays May Release.  Once again, Michele has come up with unique sets!

Today, we are focusing on Celebrate and Jumping Jacks Fri- Dies.

I started with an inked sprayed background, stamped the sentiment and embossed with white embossing powder, and finally, I cut out the Jumping Jacks with some white glitter paper.

For my 2nd card I went with a tall and skinny card, keeping it classic with black and white with a small pop of color.  I also used the Fun-fetti Fri Die for the stars.

[All the new stamp sets and fri-dies will be available on the release day.]

Just Us Girls #440 - Trend Week

I love using stencils, especially when I use them with ink spray!

I just laid the stencil on top of the card panel, and sprayed.  Can't get much easier then that! ;)
My sentiment is from Avery Elle, Handwritten Notes.

When you spray the ink, the top of the stencil has all this extra ink on it -- perfect for that 2nd card!  Just flip over the stencil, and lay it on the card panel.

Your turn!  Get out those stencils and play along!  There are so many possibilities~
Hope to see you at Just Us Girls Challenge #440.

Happy Little Stampers May ATC Challenge

It's the fun time for the Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge.  This month is all about gold.

I went subtle using gold with the string, and little gold embellies. Once again, I started with a 1/2 sheet of card stock at 2.5 inches.  I sprayed the paper with water, and added in water coloring.  Once dry, I cut it into 3.5 ATCs. and used the HLS Doodled Flowers stamp set for my stamping.

Have you tried making ATC's?  Seriously, they are so fun to make, just like making mini cards.  Come on over to the HLS ATC Challenge, and join in!  You have all month to join in, and there is a $20 prize to the winner!

Seize the Birthday Challenge

The theme for this challenge; It's just a number

I'm still trying to come up with that perfect card for my son's birthday. Worked out well for this week's challenge.  I used Avery Elle Die Count On It for the numbers in the Hero Arts Love Jar, and the large numbers are Papertrey, By The Numbers Die Collection.  I also used the MFT Stitched Rectangle Frames.

Your turn!  Come on over to the Seize the Birthday Challenge and play along.  You can use the topping, or just make a birthday card.  Either way, come on over~
