CAS-ual Fridays Day

It's CAS-ual Fridays day here on my blog.

Today I am using the newly released Coffee Cup Fri-Die, Modern Petals, and a sentiment from Tag You're It.  I white embossed the petals, and sponged on ink over the top. The cup fri-die works awesomely with designer paper too.

That's it for me today.  Don't forget, you can use my code for a 15% discount!

STAMPlorations Inspiration #160

It's STAMPlorations time here on my blog.  This week, we are featuring Shery Russ Designs.  All week long her sets are 15% off, and yep, if you use my code STAMPGIRLVICKID, you can save an additional 20%!  That to me is a CHA CHING! ;)

For today's card, I used Hope Blooms.  I dual stamped the image to give it a faux ombre effect, and mounted it on some designer paper.  I love having mini cards -- they work perfectly for my customers, co-workers, or to just hang from a gift bag.

For more inspiration, pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog to see the rest of the Design Team's cards.  Be sure to leave a comment for the monthly $10 gift certificate to one lucky random drawn winner~

Just Us Girls #424 - Color Week

Oh my - I sure love these colors together!

I went with water coloring.

Once the paper was dry,  I stamped, and embossed the Painted Thank You from Concord & 9th, and finally, I used my newest Sunshine Embossing Folder from Ali.  I also added some Sparkling Clear Dots from Kat's Scrapiness.

Okay, your turn!  How do you see using the colors?  Show us your stuff over on the Just Us Girls Blog

Seize the Birthday Challenge

The option for this challenge for the next 2 weeks is One Layer.

I love making 1 layer cards, the best part, they mail perfectly! ;)

I used a retired set from Inspired By Stamping; Paris.  It was always one of my favorite sets.  I know just the person who will receive this card too! :)

A hint for making the perfect one layer card is the Rule of Thirds.
I made this vellum template to lay on the top of my card to help with the stamp placement.  By using any parts of this template, your card will be balanced.  Upper left or right intersection - lower left or right intersection -  center square -- you get the idea.  This free tool [make one for yourself] is amazing, and has saved my card bases by having correct placement, rather then trying to eye it.
Your turn.  Make that 1 layer card, and upload it over at the Seize the Birthday blog.

A Fun Day with CAS-ual Fridays & Friend

Today will be fun!  I am creating a card with CAS-ual Fridays Tutu stamp set, and so is my Guest, Lisa Elton from My Paper Tales.  During the month of January, Michele, from CFS, is having the Team-members each pick a fellow stamper to be our Guest, and each create a card using the same set.  How fun is that!

I'm so glad that Lisa chose Tutu.  It is such a cute set, and really fun to create with.

Isn't she just sweet!  I love the sentiment too.  I white embossed Full on Floral, and water colored over the top.  I adore the bright colors for this encouraging card.

Now, let's pop on over to Lisa's blog and see what she made, [and leave her a comment too].  I can't wait to see!

Meanwhile, don't forget to use my code for a 15% discount.

TAGplorations Challenge #4 Reminder

This is my reminder for you regarding the January TAGploration Challenge.  The theme is Winter, with an option of embossing powder.

For my tag reminder, I used the Manila Tag Dies for my tag base.  I embossed snowflakes from Big Christmas Cups, did some stamping from Mixed Media Grunge, and finally, I used embossing paste with the Christmas Reindeer Stencil.

Now, if you haven't joined in the challenge, I sure hope you do!  There are prizes [of course!] and you can read about those over on the TAGplorations Blog.

STAMPlorations Inspiration #159

It's STAMPlorations Inspiration today here on my blog.  This week we are featuring Deepti Malik's line, Dee's Artsy Impressions.  All week long, her sets are marked down 15% off, and you can save an additional 20% off by using my code STAMPGIRLVICKID.

For my card today, I am using Blossom Sprays #1.

I also used the Thanks Word Die.  I colored the image with my new Prismacolor Colored Pencils.  Yes, Santa was awesome and got me the 72 set!  Wow - these sure beat Walmart's $1.95 set. lol

I used some fun foam behind the thanks cut for added depth.

I wanted to use my foiling machine, so I went ahead and made a second card using the same image.

I just love the shine foiling makes, it is so hard to photograph!

I used the Congrats Word Die on this card.

Okay, that's it for me.  For more inspiration, pop on over to the STAMPlorations Blog to see the other Designer's creations.

Just Us Girls Challenge #423 - Trend Week

This was such a fun challenge to create for that I made 2!  There are many videos on Galaxy Backgrounds - I probably watched 4-5 just to get a good idea of what I wanted to do.

I srated with this one.  I sponged on color, sprinkled on white paint for the stars, and then I cut out a circle so I could inlay my sponged moon.

Since I had the "circle cut out", I used it on this one as the moon.  I kind of like this one better, but really, I like both.  Making a galaxy background was really fun!

I hope you join in over at Just Us Girls Challenge and show us your galaxy!

Some Challenges

There ended up being quite a few challenges this month that I want to join in!  Today I am joining in with 3 of them.

Love to Craft #18; Anything Goes, Mix It Up Challenge #9; Anything Goes, and finally CAS Water color Challenge January; Birthday.

I water colored some card panels, and just cut out the MFT balloons and the PTI sentiment out of them.  Talk about CAS, lots of white, and very simple.  Yep, it qualifies.

I had fun, challenges - Thank You!

Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge - I'm on the TEAM now!

I am so excited to tell you all that I have joined the Happy Little Stampers ATC Challenge Team!  I made some creative goals for 2018. One of them is to step outside of my comfort zone and create other stamped projects.   ATC's fall into this category.  "ATC" = Artist Trading Cards. They measure 2.5" by 3.5" [the size of a playing card], and are like mini card covers. So much fun to make!

This month's challenge is TREES.
Now, you only need to make 1 ATC for the challenge, and you may use any products you have.  In my case, I made 4. I started out with a card panel 3.5" x 11" and I sponged it with Distress Inks. I then cut at 2.5" and ended up with 4 ATC cards. I used Happy Little Stampers; Mix Mash stamp set. I love making "sets" of ATCs, so I will probably do this every month.

I also made a couple of vellum envelopes to hold 2 each to put in my birthday or thank you cards as a little gift for the recipient.

I hope you give this challenge a try.  I have to say [again], ATCs are really fun to make! You can enter your ATC over at the Happy Little Stampers blog HERE.  There is a $20 prize to the winner too.  Read about that over on the HLS blog.  You have until the end of the month for this challenge.

Dare 2B Artzy Day

Today I am doing a sneak peek with a super fun set. [I am also over on the Dare 2B Artzy blog with this same card. I am also entering this into the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge; designer paper.

It's called Alpaca Fun. This guy just makes me smile.
I colored the images with my Copics, used my Silhouette for the cut outs, and adhered all onto a circle die cut.  The background paper is from Artzy Doodles Variety Pack.
